June Market Update North Vancouver

With all the media hype out there, I like to refer to the actual statistics when talking about the market.  There are currently 433 detached houses listed in North Vancouver (compared with 321 at this time last year),504 apartments (444 last year) and 151 attached - meaning townhouses and duplexes (compared with 113 last year). Keep in mind that these numbers and the ones below are for the WHOLE OF NORTH VANCOUVER.  If you are interested in any of the sub-areas specifically please contact me and I will be happy to provide them for you.

Gross sales for year to date DETACHED:         $649,935,455
in 2011 the same was:                                       $754,118,284
which is a decrease of 13%
The average price per unit this year to date is: $1,092,328
in 2011 it was:                                                    $1,038,730
which is an increase of 5%

Gross sales for year to date ATTACHED:          $122,795,137
in 2011 the same was:                                       $143,468,902
which is a decrease of 14%
The average price per unit this year to date is: $682,195
in 2011 it was:                                                    $640,486
which is an increase of 6%

Gross sales for year to date APARTMENTS:     $189,673,838
in 2011 the same was:                                        $191,777,283
which is a decrease of 1%
The average price per unit this year to date is:  $407,025
In 2011 it was:                                                     $400,370
which is a increase of 1%
